RESUMO

Recently, memory-based methods have achieved remarkable progress in video object segmentation. However, the segmentation performance is still limited by error accumulation and redundant memory, primarily because of 1) the semantic gap caused by similarity matching and memory reading via heterogeneous key-value encoding; 2) the continuously growing and inaccurate memory through directly storing unreliable predictions of all previous frames. To address these issues, we propose an efficient, effective, and robust segmentation method based on Isogenous Memory Sampling and Frame-Relation mining (IMSFR). Specifically, by utilizing an isogenous memory sampling module, IMSFR consistently conducts memory matching and reading between sampled historical frames and the current frame in an isogenous space, minimizing the semantic gap while speeding up the model through an efficient random sampling. Furthermore, to avoid key information loss during the sampling process, we further design a frame-relation temporal memory module to mine inter-frame relations, thereby effectively preserving contextual information from the video sequence and alleviating error accumulation. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed IMSFR method. In particular, our IMSFR achieves state-of-the-art performance on six commonly used benchmarks in terms of region similarity & contour accuracy and speed. Our model also exhibits strong robustness against frame sampling due to its large receptive field.

RESUMO

FeNiMo/SiO2 powder cores were prepared using the sol-gel method. Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) was added to produce an amorphous SiO2 coating outside the FeNiMo particles to form a core-shell structure. The thickness of the SiO2 layer was designed by varying the concentration of TEOS, and the optimized permeability and magnetic loss of the powder core could achieve 78.15 and 633.44 kW m-3 at 100 kHz and 100 mT, respectively. Compared with other soft magnetic composites, these FeNiMo/SiO2 powder cores have a significantly higher effective permeability and a lower core loss. Surprisingly, the high-frequency stability of permeability could be substantially enhanced through the insulation coating process in which µf/µ100 kHz could reach 98.7% at 1 MHz. In comparison with 60µ commercial products, the comprehensive soft magnetic properties of the FeNiMo/SiO2 cores were superior to most manufacturers, which would be potentially applied to high-performance inductance devices in high-frequency ranges.

RESUMO

This paper describes the development of a competency assessment standard for General Practitioners in Shenzhen, China. The standard is to be used for developing and delivering the training curriculum for General Practitioners and to enable rigorous assessment of the mastery of the standards by GP trainees. The requirement for the training of General Practitioners in China is mandated by government policy requires an international standard curriculum to meet the needs of patients and the community. A modified Delphi process was employed to arrive at a curriculum consensus. An expert panel and 14 expert working groups derived from the expert panel were established to review and evaluate national and international competency standards for General Practice and develop a set of standards, through a modified Delphi methodology. Forty three experts were involved in the project. The project resulted in a detailed curriculum statement. The curriculum was then used in 2017 and 2018 where pilot examinations of GP trainees (n = 298 and n = 315, respectively) were conducted to assess the trainee's competencies against the Standards. The examination included two modules, a written test (Module A) and a practical test (Module B). The success rate for participants was relatively low with the majority not successfully completing the assessments. The assessments will be further refined in subsequent work. The project achieved its goal of developing a rigorously evaluated standard to support clinical practice and the training and assessment of GPs.
